The exchange rate to buy Malaysian Ringgit RM is normally on the higher side here. However, there is not much harm if you get a small amount of local currency to buy mobile phone card, pay for taxi fare, buy food and drinks etc. You can get better rates to buy RM at down town Kuala Lumpur such as Mid Valley Megamall and KL Sentral. The difference could be quite significant if you exchange for large sum of money

LCCT Money Changers at International Departures Area

For Malaysian going overseas, if you forget to get some foreign currency, it is not too late to do so before departure at LCCT.
